About 20,000 Puerto Ricans were drafted to fight in World War I.

Historians agree: one of the key motivations for granting citizenship was to make Puerto Ricans eligible for the draft.

Fishbone is one of the most legendary, massively influential, and under-appreciated bands in America. Phenomenal songwriters who have been making civics sexy for four decades. If you haven't heard them look them up. They did an unplugged acoustic set which was a first for them in this format!
